Hi Folks,

Hope everyone is enjoying the Spring. Please see the attached news on MWVST alumnus Ace Tarberry being invited to a US Ski Team On Snow Camp at Mammoth Mtn later this week. Ace will be flying out on Friday and will be out there training till the following Saturday. Pretty good news for Ace and our program.

GOLF TOURNAMNENT: Friday, June 18 at The Wentworth Resort.
Thanks to all of you who have been helping with the organizing of the golf tournament so far. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. The more players, hole sponsors and prizes we can get the more money we can raise for the program.

Next Golf Organizing Meeting: This Friday, May 14 @ 4 pm at the ski team office.

RACE SCHEDULE 2010-2011: We recently had the NHARA Race Scheduling meeting for next season. The tentative NHARA schedule has been set for the 2010-2011 season. You'll be happy to know that we will be hosting less races next season after the marathon campaign we had this past year. Our tentative NHARA dates are as follows:

ATHLETE AWARDS: We will be doing the end of season athlete awards at the dinner at the golf tournament at the Red Fox Restaurant and Pub.

SUMMER SKI CAMP: I have space available at each of our summer camp sessions if you would like to attend. The dates are attached. For more info go to: www.peakperformancecamp.com. Summer training is often worth 6 weeks of winter training as there are not the distractions of the race season and school.I will take a limited number of junior athletes at the Collegiate Session, Aug.9-19. Contact me if youwould like to attend any of the sessions.

MARCH CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS: There have been some changes to some of the March Championship events for next season.The Eastern J2 Regional Championships has been replaced with the Eastern Jr.Finals which will include J1's and J2's as I understand it. They are scheduled for March 7-11 and will include SG,GS and SL. They have yet to be sited.

The J2 Nationals will be at Sugarloaf March 3-11. DH,SG, GS, SL.

For those of you with younger kids here is some of the J3 and 4 info.
J3 Eastern Finals-March 3-6 @ Sunday River.
J3 Olympics-March 11-14 @ Okemo.
Future Stars-March 2--22 @ Waterville

CONDITIONING:
I sent out a Spring Conditioning guide last month. Hopefully you have been using it and getting int the gym. Nothing will do more for your skiing than improved strength and power. Follow the guide and work hard. You will reap the benefits next season.
