U19

The Mount Washington Valley Ski Team offers a U19 weekend program, as well as a full time program.

Our U19 program supports USSS competition within the state of New Hampshire, and beyond, FIS level competition, primarily focusing on the Eastern Developmental FIS series, as well as the high school ski racer looking to get additional, challenging training on the weekends. Our goal is to provide opportunities for all of our skiers, based on their goals, their way.

The valley’s unique access to three mountains, Wildcat, Attitash, and Cranmore allow us to schedule training based on hill space availability and our team’s specific training needs. This gives us the freedom to plan both weekday and weekend training blocks to offer quality on snow sessions, while mixing up training venues and course sets.

U19 Weekend Program

This program offers training on Saturdays and Sundays, along with observed federal holidays, such as Martin Luther King Day. Holiday break in December and February Vacation week are crucial training blocks for our weekend athletes, and our schedule is loaded during those weeklong vacations, to maximize our opportunities on snow. The valley’s February vacation week falls under the same week as Massachusetts’ break, so we serve the bulk of our athletes then, but still offer plenty of extra training sessions during southern New Hampshire’s holiday break, the following week.

What You Can Expect

- Consistent focus on necessary skill development, repetition, and mastery of technique and tactics in a high energy, fun atmosphere.

- Timely communication with the team’s training and racing schedules.

- Flexibility within our weekly schedule to take advantage of the best snow and weather conditions.

- Consistent video sharing and analysis. Timing systems are also used frequently for self comparison and observation.

- Transportation for selected weekend races. Weekly correspondence is sent out with the van schedule and an option to reserve a seat.

U19 Full Time Program
